After more than 60 years we are re-issuing the MODEL 97. The sand-etched and then painted design includes the female surf rider beneath a coconut palm with abstract waves, Diamondhead and birds flying under the Hawaiian sun. Very 1930’s! The design is on our traditional nickel-plated brass tricone body. The round (Spanish) neck is made of mahogany with an adjustable trussrod, ebony fretboard, m.o.p. parallelogram fret markers. A black-white-black overlay tops the slotted headstock. Tuners are individual nickel-plated Waverly’s with ivoroid buttons.
